Hackers post data from dozens of breached college servers | Security & Privacy - CNET News

I have to say that I've not been hacked yet,  that I know of.  As you could guess, I speak with companies each day about their concern for security.  I ask questions about what they are doing?  Have they ever been compromised?  do they have confidence in their security?  It's easy to become complacent.  After a time of little or no problems with viruses, malware or spyware a person could start to think that it's all just a big scam which allows the IT security companies to make a big paycheck.  Then I read an article like this and I'm reminded that somewhere out there are people who apparently have enough time on their hands to hack into servers and grab information.  This article shares some information about the motivation behind these hackers but most hackers have more sinister plans for their hacking treasures.  Its great encouragement to keep up the fight to keep my current and future customer networks secure and protected.
